Section Headers in Emails

Hi again,

Last question for a while. I promise!

On a lot of my forms, there is an email sent both to the administrator/manager of that form, and to, if specified, the address in an “Email Me a Copy” field.

These work great, and generate a nice looking grid of responses, but they are missing section headers which are sometimes critical to the questions (questions repeat, under different “pillars” – the section headers), so the end user can’t differentiate between which is which unless they actually open the form again.

Is this sometime I could modify the back-end code to be able to do? Or is there a setting I can flip in the section headers? Perhaps “trick” Formidable into thinking they are fields, but not allowing the end-user to input anything? In that sense, they would appear in the emails.

Thank you so much!

This isn't a current option, so for now you can change the email message to whatever you'd like by replacing the [default-message] in your email message box. You can use HTML or plain text. You can read more about the email options in the knowledge base:

Let us know if you still have questions.

This would be a VERY helpful feature

I have long forms with multiple fields having the same name - only difference being what heading they are under

It is very confusing to the individual handling requests to try and process the e-mail, which does not show section headings

I need this feature too. I need to show all section headingn email. I create insurance form and Have the same field driver 1 to 4 and car 1 and 2.

Really long to create html template, I have more than 100 answers.

It is a way to have this option. If cost something, how much.

thanks

This is an option we are planning in adding when we revamp the email notifications in either v1.6.5 or 1.7. I'm not sure on the timeline yet though.

Great to hear! Thank you for taking it into consideration!
