Hi,
I’ve been trying to figure this out myself, but have had no luck solving the issue no matter what i’ve tried.
Basically, I’ve built an application for employment form, and at the bottom have included 2 ‘Rich Text’ fields for the applicant to copy and paste a cover letter and resume. The issue is, that they both don’t size correctly at all, no matter what i’ve tried…
(see pic 1)
I’ve tried to give each a class of frm_full to fill the area, but it does nothing.
I’ve tried to set a number in the field size for ‘columns wide’, but that actually makes the rich text field disappear?
(see pic 2)
Does anyone else have this issue?!

This might be caused by some conflicting CSS. Can you provide a link to this form so I can take a closer look?

Hmm, I see a width:100px on the Rich text field, but I am not sure exactly where it is coming from. Can you try deactivating plugins and maybe your theme to see if one of those may be causing the fixed width?
Do you need the RTE? or would a paragraph field work instead?

I have deactivated all plugins except formidable pro, and formidable signature... and also dectivated the theme back to the twenty 11 one. Still has the same issue?

A paragraph field would work i suppose, but all of the formatting of an applicants cover letter and resume would be lost...

We've seen this is the past when a rich text field is inside a collapsible section. Does it make a difference if you use TinyMCE instead of NicEdit?

Ok, so i switched the theme back on, and reactivated all the plugins i am using, and switched to tinymce, and now it appears correct i think.

I guess that fixed it, but i know i had tried that before, and the tinymce had no 'buttons' for formatting when on. very weird...
i guess it is fixed now. thanks for your help! the support from you both has always been great! :)
