Hi Guys,
Love your work. Recently purchased and installed for a client’s site, but they are not receiving emails.
I have tried the Check Email plugin, which works, and the SMTP plugin, which also works on the php() methods, but not on smtp (probably because we use Google Apps…? Error is that it cannot connect to SMTP host, I assume google is blocking it)
Attached is a screenshot of my form setup. Any assistance you could provide would be greatly appreciated.
I must admit, I’ve been using the free version for a while, so it’s a bit disappointing the minute I upgrade to the paid version it doesn’t work!!

What SMTP plugin are you using? I use google apps, and these settings work well for me, maybe try these:
Also, the reason other WordPress emails are coming through while Formidable Pro emails aren't may be related to the from/reply to setting which is set to send from the email address submitted in your form. Can you try changing that setting to your WordPress admin email address(the same address your other WordPress emails are coming from)? Some hosts won't send mail from addresses different from their domain.

Hi Steve,
Using the plugin as recommend on the FAQ page. My SMTP set up exactly reflects yours, still with issues.
I have had to switch to another contact form plugin as I cannot get formidable to work. New contact form plugin works a treat, so not sure what the issue was...
Cheers,
Liz

Can you let us know which plugin is working? and would you be interested in providing temporary admin access so we can take a look at what might be preventing Formidable Pro emails from coming through? I will make this topic private in case you choose to provide those credentials.

If you don't want to provide credentials, could you let us know which plugin is working for you so we can compare the two plugins?

I have been having the same issue. I was using formidable (the free version) for ages with no issues, then suddenly emails stopped coming through. So I had to switch to a differnt contact form plugin so I can access messages in the backend incase they dont come thorugh. Now most come through, but some still get stuck.
I also had it happen to a client who uses formidable and had to get them to upgrade to pro, so they can access them from the backend since they dont email through.
It seems the consistant factor is the use of google apps. Do you think google apps has changed something which is affecting emails getting through.

@tabitha emma Please log in for further support on this issue. But yes, I think google apps has changed their security measures to be more strict. If you have a form that is set up to send the notification email from the address that was entered into the form, some email hosts will not send the message.
