I set up a front-end post that works flawlessly, however I have a theme that displays the full content on the home page as well as the single post page. The form posts great to the single post page, however I cannot get it to post in the front page as well (because the form does not populate the back-end post form)
I am using a theme on the Genesis framework and tried using custom display, which I didn’t seem to do correctly because it posted a snippet of the test post on every page….but it did post to the front page.
I feel like there is some easy way to do this that I have missed and I was hoping to be directed to a video or a post that explains how to accomplish this.

I may not be understanding you correctly, but in order for your form to insert posts into your main blog roll, you need to set your form up to create posts: http://formidablepro.com/knowledgebase/create-a-post-form-and-display-the-results/
Using custom displays to display entries on the front-end of your site is similar, but different in that it doesn't actually create a WordPress Post. When you follow the instructions on the page linked to above, a WordPress post is created that should be viewable in both the posts page in the admin section and in your main blogroll (assuming you are posting to the same post type and categories)
If I am misunderstanding you, I apologize. Please try explaining what's going on again and I will give it another shot. Maybe a link to your site would help me see what is(or isn't) going on.

I will try to explain. I already have a form set up to post and it works great.....for single posts.

View homepage posts....all the content is not there (first entry with photo). If I type the post manually in the back end....all the content shows up on the homepage (like the other ones shown, as it is supposed to) but an entry through the form does not display the content on the home page.
This site is under development and I unlocked its landing page while I get this sorted out, let me know if it is still blocked....I would like to re-block it asap.
