Default category for new posts created by forms

First of all I love Formidable very much and it’s one of the few WordPress plug-ins that I am glad I purchased!

I just discovered today that I can create forms that automatically turn into posts. This is such a great feature because I have been wanting to create a testimonial submission form. However, I can’t seem to figure out how to make new posts to go into a set category. Also the title seems to just say “Permalink” as opposed to the content from the field I set.

Please advise. Thanks!

Here is information on setting the default category: http://formidablepro.com/knowledgebase/create-a-post-form-and-display-the-results/#kb-how-to-set-a-default-category

On setting the title, can you provide a screenshot of your "create posts" settings page?

Thanks Steve! I was able to set the default category.

However, the "title" of the new post still reads "Permalink" instead of the content I set as title.

Please see attached screenshots. Thanks.

The problem is you are using the same "Title of Testimonial" field as both the title and the slug. This currently doesn't work. Set the post title to that field, then set the slug to automatically generate from post title.

Ah, thank you very much! It's working perfectly now!
