I'm not sure I'm understanding what you are trying to do. With the post meta. Maybe a screenshot of where you are inserting it would be helpful?

Ok, I have made it this far, everything works except for the dropdown, attached are my fields, and the form, if i change the 'Import Data from' in the Cars > Engine within the form to the other custom fields, it populates, so its just the Engine Size field which wont populate in the form.
Thanks for your help

So to be clear, when viewing the form from the front end to make a new post, or users updating an existing post, it shows nothing at all, just the title, where the dropdown should be is empty.

How does the screenshot from the other plugin relate? And do you have entries in your cars form with an engine size saved? What type of field is the size field in your car form?

That screen shot is the wp-types plugin, which takes care of the custom post types fields

How does the Types screenshot relate to the issue?

I think I understand your original question... Are you trying to get the options you added in the Types plugin to automatically show as options in Formidable? If so, there is not integration in place for this. You will need to add the options you would like into your Formidable form.
