I need have data display based as follows:
where field 1 = x
or field 2 = y
or field 3 = z
or field 4 =a
It looks like all of these fields have to evaluate to true in order for the display to function correctly.
Even if I have to use custom code, how can I create OR in the custom display where filter.
Side Note: Since you are already using AND programmatically; couldnt you just add a separate drop down field for AND/OR (default to and) which the user could then select. It would really take your tool to the next level and should be a pretty easy addition.

This functionality isn't currently an option. I don't know of a way to do this even with custom code. I don't think this feature request has been added to our "suggestions" page, but you can add it there so people can vote for this functionality.
