autoresponse emails and user registratoin emails not going through properly

i am registering people with the registration module and using automatic generation of passwords.

 

i am able to send emails from my site using site admin email as well as any other email, the registered user is not receiving their password email, or their autoresponse, nor am i receving admin email…. what is preventing the emails from going through, what are the right settings in this scenario to make it work?

Do you get the registration email when you register directly through WP?

this issue was a server problem - within a reseller hosting account that was set to look locally for emails by default before following the cnames etc,   the emails were existing locally in a backup version of the website, while the acutall live website was on its own server....i was uing an email that was from the backup copy of the webiste on the same server to register with formidable, and the emails were ending up in the backup websites inbox locally  as opposed to following the email set-up of the live site - this was fixed by changing a default on the backup site from look locally to look remotely for email
