I LOVE that you can use forms to create content. Awesome, awesome work! Formidable Pro has totally changed the way I think about how to use WordPress. For the first time ever I can see being able to use WordPress as database.
Chris Howard (341 design & Headway Themes)We have been INCREDIBLY happy with Formidable - not just in the level of service and attention through this support forum, but in the amazing capabilities it's offered us. It is the best plugin we've ever seen and it's absolutely revolutionized what we are able to do with WordPress.

Also perhaps being able to group a series of fields so that when you click "+" that groups of related questions is duplicated. (eg. First Name, Last Name, Email, Address, phone)

Basically, I'd like to be able to define a table with fields for each row and show maybe three rows to the respondent. However, the respondent should be able to add new rows to the table if they have more than three to submit.

Suggest images can be added inline as well.

+1 to Gerard's comment, this describes exactly what i am also trying to do.

Does this apply to tables? And if so, is it similar to Formidable Plus where additional rows and columns could be added?

I am somewhat confused... I was watching this item in the User Voice forum, with an indication is was coming in ver1.7, but now an indication it is declined.... but with his new thread started seeming to indicate its still on the cards.....
is it still coming in 1.7?
I really would love it if it were

Yes, this is still scheduled for v1.7. We are working on moving everything out of UserVoice into the help desk now that we have voting enabled.

Ok... I wondered if that were the case....
thanks :]

Has this feature been added?

This has been bumped out of 1.07 and into 1.08. There is a 3rd party add-on that can do this now.

+1 to Gerard's suggestion - repeatable field groups.

The TopQuark add-on is a partial solution...and works well for what it does. The problem with it (vs. repeatable field groups) is that you don't have access to individual cells for calculations or other operations. For example, in the following form, I would like to be able to use the height and width entries to calculate COGS, etc.

This can sort of be achieved using conditionals, but then you're limited by having to set a fixed number of fields to be triggered.
So I definitely look forward to this feature...hope it comes soon! :)
ETA: of course I can see the challenge of this tehcnically is that you would be dealing with field IDs that don't exist yet at the time of form creation...so adding this feature is not such a straight-forward proposition as it might seem.

I recently grabbed a copy of the TopQuark plugin and been trying to get it working.
It seems to be as good as far as it goes. But it's not so user friendly when it comes to formatting, and its implementation seems to be limited through its design.
Would really love to see this this functionality integrated into FP.

This would be great for me for allowing users to submit multiple event dates rather than only being able to select one date from a date picker.

Stephanie,
Further news on the release schedule time wise for this feature.
Thx

It's still planned for version 1.08. We won't have a specific timeline on this version until after 1.07 is released.
February 22, 2013 at 7:07 am
It would be great if you add this repeatable groups in your next release.
I need them for reciepe adding feature. For example:
Step1 [step1 text] [step1 image] + (When + will be choosen Step2 should appear)
Step2 [step2 text] [step2 image] +
And so on. As I undestand, FormidabpePro don't have this feature right now?
April 3, 2013 at 1:58 pm
Good idea to add this.
April 3, 2013 at 3:28 pm
So, it's over three years now and this is still not implemented?
Serious bummer! I'm not quite sure what's causing the delay; this is a very much requested feature.
It will also benefit YOU-- the devs. You can brag about this in your homepage! = more sales!
P.S. why these tiny fractions in version numbers?? Is it 1.07 or 1.7? 1.08 or 1.8?

We agree that this feature is a bit over due, and we hope to be adding this feature very soon.
Formidable Pro is a fairly complex plugin and adding features like this can be tricky because we have to think about all the different ways people are going to use this and the collected data. One of the main considerations that must be made when adding inline fields is how to use the information once it is collected. Formidable Pro is unique in its ability to display collected data in a variety of ways on the front-end of your site. We want to make sure that data collected through dynamically added fields will be easily accessible in Custom Displays and other front-end views.
As for the version numbering. 1.06.09 is the equivalent of 1.6.9, we just add the zeros for flexibility.
