Hi there
We have started getting random “405 not allowed” errors upon submitting a form. The entries however do come into our database but they arrive as duplicates. The 405 error displays after about a minute (with no url change). For what it’s worth, I have noticed that if we set an auto responder email alert, the 405 error is not displayed and the “thanks for your submission” message works fine? Can you advise as to what might be the issue?
Best wishes,
Jay

This sounds like a plugin or theme conflict. Are you able to reproduce the error on demand? If so, you can go through and deactivate your theme and plugin one by one until the issue is resolved.

I am having the same issue. People are getting error messages. I tried it now myself and get this:
Server error
The website encountered an error while retrieving http://www.mybizperforms.com/free-inbound-marketing-assessment/. It may be down for maintenance or configured incorrectly.
Here are some suggestions:
Reload this webpage later.
HTTP Error 500 (Internal Server Error): An unexpected condition was encountered while the server was attempting to fulfill the request.
------------
It is supposed to re-direct to another page. The entries however end up in the database.
I'm using the Genesis framework and childtheme. I am most reluctant to go and de-activate themes and plugins one by one. This has worked fine until recently. Any other suggestions?

Do you get this message if you turn off the email by removing the email address(es) from the "email recipients" box?
P.S. Please log in before posting.

Oops, didn't realise I wasn't logged in sorry...
Took out the email address and got the same error message.

Do you know how to access your php error logs? Is it possible for you to contact your web host to find out what the fatal error message is when you submit?

Problem solved. I went over all the settings of the form one by one again and stumbled across the Highrise integration. I set up the form when I demo'd Highrise but I didn't renew it, so the error clearly came from the form trying to connect to highrise without success.
I've disabled highrise for the form and it works without issue.
