Hello Stephanie,

Hope you are well!  I have a question for you that might seem strange, however I will ask it anyways in hope that you can assist me or at least point me in a good direction…

I have a need to update/change a specific filed entry (or entries) 'item meta vlaue' with out a form (in other words with a function rather than being done through a form 'interface' I have been trying to accomplish this with no luck so far and find myself 'banging my head'.  So to give you a brief example, I have an entry that was submitted originally through a form (lets call this form id 15)  in this form entry I have a few field entries but I have one field specifically (lets call this status field with field id 173) that I need to have updated after submission at a later point (not after the actual form is sumbitted – in other words it has to update with out a form being displayed at later time).   So my question is it possible and how would I go about using your code or/funtions etc. to Change the form id 15 status field (field id 173) with a new value and only that field – so lets say originally I have a value of 'pending' originally for 'stauts'(id173) when the form is submitted and then later (with out a form being submitted) I want that field value of 'status'(id173) changed to the value of 'confirmed'.

Could you possibly give me a code example or even just a 'push' in the right direction?

I know this is a strange request to update without a form – but this is what I need and to save writing and confusion I won't go into details of why I have to accomplish this without a 'edit form'.

Any help would be MUCH appreciated!

By the way thanks for the answer on your last tech support you gave me – I don't think I ever thanked you! :( – sorry about that.
