A new field type is now available in a separate add-on. Offer your clients the ability to sign their forms on the spot, eliminating the need for any more paper forms. Here’s a little demo:
After the signature is submitted, an image is created and stored in your Formidable uploads folder. This image is displayed on the admin entries listing and single entry page. If this field is used in a custom display, the signature image will be displayed there as well.
Very cool addition to Formidable.
Why don’t lower case b’s work?
Uhh… I’m not seeing it.
If I type bobby all i see is the o and y with blank spaces for the lower case b’s
What browser are you using? This is a third-party script, and I’m not seeing any problems. Please post your answer in the help desk.
Same as Wil. Firefox
Nevermind, it appears you fixed this already.
Nope, didn’t change anything because I couldn’t ever see it.
I have the same issue with lowercase “b”. Using Firefox browser
This is really looks cool features. But I’m not really sure where to use it, any suggestion (newbie, a clear explanation is great)?
Most forms would not benefit from this type of field. Only a form where you want or need an actual “signature” would you use this. An actual signature is more unique than having people type in a name.
If you run a business, receiving a signature is important… especially in a court of law.
I ham dealing with a client now who is using patient info forms and this signature is a fantastic addition. Thank you!
Don’t know if this has it already but it would be usefull to have both signature and typed name at same time as option… reason is that most times signatures are not legible… even if it isn’t guess you could have a text field anyways in your form.
Just feedback thats all I need no response.
